Reports To:

SVP Client Success (This is a cross-functional role requiring collaboration with the Product, Sales, Technical Support, and Product Marketing teams. You will need to understand our products with the product team, manage technical implementations with different tech teams, and support sales efforts closely.)

 

Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sales Engineer to join our global team, specializing in identity verification solutions, compliance, and fraud solutions. As a Sales Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the integration and sales of our technology to clients worldwide. This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise, sales acumen, and the ability to effectively communicate complex solutions to diverse audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-sale Technical Support:

  • Partner with the sales team to qualify leads and identify client needs.
  • Conduct technical discovery calls and product demonstrations.
  • Design and deliver customized solution proposals and proof-of-concepts.
  • Address technical questions and concerns throughout the sales cycle.

Integration and Implementation:

  • Guide clients through the technical integration process of our identity verification solutions.
  • Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams to ensure seamless implementation.

Sales Enablement:

  • Develop and maintain technical sales collateral, including presentations, white papers, and case studies.
  • Train sales teams on product features, technical specifications, and competitive positioning.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory landscape in the identity verification space.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key technical stakeholders at client organizations.
  • Provide ongoing technical support and guidance post-sale.
  • Focus on increasing client impact and increasing renewal rates
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities.

Market Intelligence:

  • Gather feedback from clients and prospects on product performance and feature requests.
  • Monitor competitor activity and provide insights to inform product roadmap and sales strategies.

Qualifications:

Technical Expertise:

  • 3+ years of experience in a sales engineering or technical pre-sales role, preferably in one or more of fields: ID verification, KYC, AML, KYB, fraud, compliance, biometrics, and authentication industry.
  • Strong understanding of authentication, biometrics, fraud detection, and data privacy regulations.
  • Proficiency in API integration, software development kits (SDKs), and web technologies. Our identity verification solutions encompass areas such as KYC, KYB, AML, and compliance. We heavily utilize AI, Python, PHP, JavaScript, Swift, and Kotlin technologies. Experience with these technologies is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Sales and Communication Skills:

  • Proven track record of successfully closing technical sales deals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed (up to 10%).
  • Fluency in English. Additional language skills are a plus.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
